City and Guilds plastering course content
Duration
6 weeks
There
are 7 mandatory Units and you must complete any 2 Units from
the 6 optional units.
Units
8a,8b,10a,10b, 12a, 12b, 13a, 13b count as 1 unit it may be
possible to mix and match the split units to make 1 unit e.g.
8b and 13b = 1 optional unit.
There
are 7 Mandatory Units.
They
are:
1)
Boarding and setting a ceiling in one coat work
2)
Applying a floating coat to wall and attached pier
3)
Applying and finishing the setting coat to a floored wall and
attached pier
4)
Applying a floating coat to a square or rectangular column
5)
Applying a floating finishing coat to a square or rectangular
column
6)
Making good a patch in a plastered wall
7a)
Dry lining
7b)
Scrim and skim finish with plaster
There
are 6 Optional Units
They
are:
8a)
Coving internal and external angles fitted
8b)
Replaster over textured ceiling using bonding agent
9)
Screeding a sand and cement floor from a given level of datum
point
10a)
Fixing floor tiles and skirting tiles
10b)
Fixing wall tiles including window openings
11)
Replaster over textured ceiling using a bonding agent
12a)
Applying a plain rendering and finish to a prepared wall
12b)
Applying a Tyrolean hand machine finish to a prepared wall
13a)
Fixing bellcast bead and applying scratch coats to wall areas
13b)
Applying pebble dash finish to a prepared wall
