Yes you can split the course over an indefinite period of
time (weekly) to suit your holidays etc

have all passed and in some cases were in the top group of the

Yes the units you pass during your course can be used
towards your city and guilds 6217 plastering accreditation
you can complete the city and guilds course at a later
date at Goldtrowel for the balance cost between the
courses over a 4 week period
Will i receive my
plastering NVQ at the end of the plastering course?
No you will receive your AGCA that is an APL contribution
towards your NVQ plastering
So what will i need
to do to receive my NVQ plastering?
Goldtrowel Instructors are assessors and verifiers for the
CITB and city and guilds, you will receive all the support
and help during the course to attain your NVQ
via OSAT.
Does it cost any
more money to take the OSAT plastering?
No the OSAT is funded for the next couple of years by a
government scheme
How long will it
take to receive the NVQ plastering?
It depends upon the person and the circumstances of the
person, but as a rule of thumb it would usually take 3 to
4 months from the commencement of your OSAT.
What's involved in
the OSAT?
Basically you will take an induction then an assessor will
be appointed to you, he will visit you on site a minimum
of 3 times to help complete your portfolio of evidence.
Units of your evidence will be gained during your course
with Goldtrowel and can be downloaded and printed from the
students
library
I completed a
Goldtrowel plastering course a while back, can i just pay
the difference between the courses?
Yes you would only have to pay the difference between the
course you have taken What's

The portfolio we help build for you during your course is
a portfolio of evidence for the units you have passed at
Goldtrowel.
The NVQ is an evidence based qualification, photographs,
testimonials from customers, builders, employers etc, plus
any achievements of prior learning such as your AGCA. What's
the difference between the City and Guilds 6217 and the
NVQ?
The 6217 city and guilds in plastering is a level 1
certificate that you can take and complete in a training
centre
the full cost of the city and guilds plastering course
6217 is £2,995 or after the 3 week course at goldtrowel
it is a balance of £2,000
The NVQ plastering is vocational that you can complete
after a short course with Goldtrowel via an OSAT, the cost
of this is FREE after the initial cost of your plastering
course Are there any
further costs involved anywhere?
Yes you will need to pass your health and safety test to
gain your CSCS card
if you wish to work on site
the test varies in price throughout the UK and costs
approx £35 Is there
any training required for the Health and Safety test?
Training is available for a cost of £100, although you
can purchase the Health & Safety test book from many
good bookstores
The health and safety test is not difficult it is based
upon common sense, you can buy the book from Amazon
for a couple of quid.

Prior to your course you receive pre course training that
